    Strengthen…But where??

Well blues Roberto and his team have come in, made a few signings an changed the system to keep hold of the ball an patient build up play, which I like many think is a good thing, we have your quality attacking players in Super Kev, Pienaar, Barkley, Jelavic, Osman, Kone and Baines. And you’re ‘Getting the ball’ players in Gibbo and Fellaini so my question is who do we need to help improve?

I personally would be happy with one more centre back (If Jonny leaves) and a creative central midfielder to play alongside Fellaini or Gibbo, someone who can pick a pass out and use a bit of skill to play a perfect through ball.

Martinez has said he is still looking, and with rumored 12 million bids for Mcmanaman an McCarthy rejected, it looks like we might have a bit of kitty left so who would you sign?

    1. I can think of many. Mainly midfielders and a centre back. The two that come to mind are Honda and Alderweireld. Mcmanaman and mcarthy while both able to complement the squad are dramatically overpriced. For me Alderweireld would provide steel at the back as well as youth. Something we are always lacking. Honda though is simply class. His ability to efgortlessy link play and control games is amazing and he has boundless energy with a phenomenal workrate. He would add more to the team than mcmanaman and mcarthy combined and would cost substantially less.

    2. Agree on Honda…shame were locked into the shirt deal with Kitbag as he’d make his transfer fee back in merchandise sales in the Far East before probably before he could kick a ball for us!.

Also a shame that he seems to have his heart set on Milan for a next step though. Xherdan Shaquiri would have been a good choice, and one that might have been available for the same money as being touted for McCarthy, but the nightmare across the park seem to have screwed that one up for us.

I’d go along with the idea of another new centre-half as well…principally one who can play the ball out of defence as opposed to the Jagielka Hoof!.

    3. I dont reckon Bobby has to look too far to source a potentially great central midfielder. With the striking capability available and the picking rights stacking up I think he should give the very understated Ross Barkley the opportunity to fill that important role. He has the dynamics and the ability to launch one at goal long range with accuracy if its fancied. He’s young and versatile. Why spend cash on another bench dweller when we have another future England star chomping at the bit?
