Martinez: We’re really excited to see Naismith develop as a player
Everton gaffer Roberto Martinez is really excited to see the forum of Scottish striker Steven Naismith and said the player is more than just an impact player.
Naismith has been in tremendous form recently netting to help his team win against Aston Villa and Swansea City and also scoring 2 goals in the FA Cup match against Stevenage too, but Martinez feels that Naismith has so much more to offer the team than just a substitute player.
“Stevie, at his age and with the experience he has at international level and now with us, has gone past that stage of being an impact player,” said Martinez
“It’s been a real joy to watch him enjoying his football and I think what it actually shows you is that he is someone who can adapt to different positions and bring a big, big strength into our squad.
“He’s been very important so far and I still think he’s going to get even better. We’re really, really excited to see Steven Naismith develop into the player he can be with Everton.”
