    Leon Osman to be awarded with Everton testimonial

    Leon Osman is set to be  awarded with a testimonial  after more than a decade’s  service in the Everton first  team.

    Osman, who broke through  into the England set-up last  year, will be granted the honour  some time this season.

    The 32-year-old made his  debut as a late substitute in a  4-3 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur  in January 2003.

    Osman has gone on to make  almost 350 appearances for  Everton and netted more than  50 goals, as well as having loan  spells at Carlisle United and  Derby County earlier in his  career.

    Close friend Tony Hibbert,  the only current player to have  been at the club longer than  Osman, was granted a testimonial last year and even scored  in the 4-1 win over AEK Athens  at Goodison.
