Have your say on next seasons Everton Crest

Everton have today revealed how they  will let supporters choose the new club crest  for next season.

The Blues have teamed up with the ECHO  to share their plans for the process with  fans, and encourage everyone to have their  say on how the badge – which will be  unveiled in early October – should look.

Everton altered their badge earlier this  summer , sparking unrest among many  supporters and prompting the club to  promise the new design would be changed  in accordance with their wishes next  season.

The club has vowed that every  Evertonian can have their say and help to  shape the new crest design. There are  various ways to get involved:

Online – Every fan can complete a  questionnaire at www.evertonfc.com/crest to  provide their feedback on how they want  the new crest to look and the importance of  the individual elements from previous  crests. There will also be an option for fans  to upload their own designs, sketches or  make further comments.

Focus groups – A series of focus groups  will be set up with representative supporter  groups such as Supporters’ Clubs,  Shareholders, the Fans’ Forum, the new  Junior Fans’ Forum, the Everton Heritage  Society and the Everton Former Players’  Foundation.

Blues will have the chance to submit  feedback until Sunday September 15 2013.

Alan Myers, the club’s Director of  Communications, alongside the club’s  Senior Executive Team, will oversee the  entire process with key support from  Liverpool-based agency Kenyon Fraser –  who will manage the consultation phase.

Toffees officials insist that gaining as  much feedback as possible from fans is top  of the agenda until mid-September and the  next phase is to begin designing the new  crest.

Independent of the club, Kenyon Fraser  will collate all the suggestions, ideas and  feedback from supporters. They will review,  interpret and then create design options for  the fanbase to vote on.

They will then hand over to you again to  make the final decision. The newly designed  crests will be presented alongside a detailed  explanation of how each one has been  developed.

Every supporter with a registered  customer number, based on ticket  purchasing or membership – an estimated  300,000 fans – will be  asked to select their  favourite design at  www.evertonfc.com/crest.

The results of the  vote will be revealed  on Thursday  October  3 and the new club  crest, shaped and  chosen by  Evertonians, will  appear on all media,  buildings,  merchandise and all  kits for the 2014/15  season.

Director of  communications Alan  Myers said: “I know the fans have been  awaiting details of the process to choose the  new crest and after listening to them it’s  clear they have many ideas on what they  want.

“We will consult with all Evertonians and  the crest will be their choice. This process  allows fans to tell us what they  want in their new crest  so that  a number of options can be  created for them to select the  best one.

“The 2014/15 Crest  will be the “Peoples  Crest” make no  mistake about that,  all I ask is that the fans  trust me, as an  Evertonian, to  deliver it to them. I  won’t be able to  give 100% of the  fanbase what they  want but we will do  this together because  “We are Everton.”
