Football Managers under Pressure

Is there a set of fans, aside from Bolton probably, that look back at Allardyce with fondness?

Sol Campbell binned off by Southend following their relegation.
It is not because you are black Sol - you are a poor manager
Won 4 of 23 games in charge
Heard he sent his agent to an interview for a management job before as well.

Might of been on here actually?

He just needs to face the fact that he struggles to get jobs cos hes shit and a wanker, not cos hes black.

Great as a player, part of the Arsenal invincibles team, 73 caps for England. Great players do not tend to make great managers though.

Massive Tory as well. Fucking scab

Now he has nowhere to hide. No race card can be played. Every job he has had has been a failure

He’s fucking useless. Comes across as an arrogant cunt and has played the race card on this before.
He’s got no personality to manage - he may have been a good player but as has been said good players don’t make good managers.

He did well at Macclesfield, but failed miserably at Southend. He does come across as a very strange man

Guardiola & Ancelotti were decent like.

It is a bit perplexing that there as few successful black managers as there are.

Maybe Sol Campbell is not the right man just like Gary Neville isn't the right man, but there will be black candidates out there who can do a great job who are seemingly not interested or overlooked.

Nuno is doing a very good job at Wolves and will get a bigger job off of it but apart from him, who is there? Hughton is a reasonable lower Premier League manager and a good one at that upper end of the Championship level. But who else is there in a top league? I can't think of many.

Rijkaard used to be a guy in a top job who won a couple of leagues but he faded into nowhere.

Get the feeling that there’s a few premier league managers who are very fortunate to still be in their jobs. I wonder how much is down to Coronas influence as much as anything at this current time.

Not seen that much of them this season but it looked like they were still struggling to score. Shoestring budget probably not helping.

Didn’t expect him to be binned.

They were fucking awful. I think they expected more from them than just escaping relegation. They were prem last season.
No they weren't awful.

Read the replies and you'll see there's a lot of shock.

The short termism of football these days is farcical.
