We can’t just ignore Michael Keane’s mistake for the first goal. That wasn’t on Pickford, that one was on Michael Keane’s hospital pass that played right into the hands of Fleetwood’s pressing.

Pickford is at fault for only 1 of their goals.

Back pass was terrible but knowing that, why is Pickford trying to take a touch? Just put your foot through it ffs.

I have no problems with their first goal last night. He is normally as good as anyone else in the league with balls along the floor like that, his footballing skills are outstanding for a keeper and he rarely makes mistakes.

His second was an absolute horror show though and he makes simple shot stopping look difficult at times

Because he’s not expecting the hospital pass and isn’t set to boot it straight up on his left foot.

He kicks that and slices it everyone takes the piss and slates him for not taking a touch.

Leeds are linked with a loan move for Angus Gunn. I'd be all over that! Even if it's just for competition.

He kicks it and slices it out of play they don't score. All he had to do was kick it anywhere first time and the danger get averted and we can set the defence again. Yes Keane shouldn't have passed it back but in that position you just get rid anywhere

There was enough weight on the ball for him to smash it up the field. He tried being clever, taking a touch. It was brainless.

The first one is entirely Pickford's fault.

He had so much time to twat it back the way it came and tear a strip out of Keane, ball was even slow enough he could clear it on his right, which he is capable of, or at least should be as a professional footballer. Fucking shit for brains this cunt.

Last chance saloon for him this season. He fails we sell him for £15m/20m and go all out his replacement. One of the reasons I want us to sign the RB & CB over Zaha. Less big purchase we have to make next summer if we do have to get rid.

who is going to buy him? he’ll just leave on a free like the rest of our dross

Given that it's highly unlikely that we'll get a suitable replacement in this window I'm hopeful that Carlo can help him up his game.
Worked with Keane...well until last night.

He's a liability, just hope that he doesn't mess up all the early promise the team are showing, he could dent the confidence of everyone in that defence.

The first goal WAS on Michael Keane. To think otherwise shows a complete bias and/or lack of knowledge. Don’t play into the Sky Sports game of using it to blame him, because they know what they’re doing. A Pickford error is a great publicity story for them.

He was wank for the 2nd. Keane needs his head shaking for the first.

I'm wondering whether we shouldn't get a short term replacement fallback keeper like Caballero who although a veteran could do a season and must now leave Chelsea, possibly get him on a free now they don't need him.

Not going to sign anyone worth it at this late stage

I know Lossl played for Huddersfield, they got relegated from the prem and struggled badly in the championship but not sure how much down to the keeper, is he rubbish? - tbf he may not still be our understudy if he was any good.

You either sign someone as full time replacement to Pickford (therefore a big signing), or someone good enough only as back up and Pickford stays first choice. You can’t just replace him with any old div. caballero isn’t better than Pickford ffs :ROFLMAO: we’d be worse off.

liquidfootball2 liquidfootball2 wasn’t saying that Caballero was better than Pickford (though I don’t remember Caballero dropping a bollock every game). If we could bring him in as a fallback keeper on loan (again, this is what liquidfootball2 liquidfootball2 said) then that would be a good deal.

As for the first goal, Keane & Pickford share the blame equally imo.

Nope. It WAS Pickford.

Stop being contrary.

Are you seriously suggesting Pickford played no part in that first, behave. It was a shite pass, but its still easy enough to deal with. That's not bias, that's you making ridiculous excuses like its 'Sky hating on him'. Jesus wept.

Not on Keane for me that. It wasn't the best pass, but Pickford was completely unaware of his surroundings.

He could have met it early and just launched it. He chose to try and play away (which goalies are taught to do), but didn't account for 2 attackers closing him down.

It was the same as the one early in the match on Saturday. Put your foot through it and all is okay.
