FWIW I liked the look of Everton Soares at the tournament in the Summer but it's incredibly difficult to judge whether a player is worth signing on that alone.

We’ll go back in for Doucoure.
Not sure we will if Silva isn’t around tbh. Pretty sure it’s been Silva pushing for him, like. Not that I wouldn’t like to see him in our side.

I don't think we need two. After all, there's Gomes to come back at some point and Delph is lurking. And if Gbamin is any good that's already four with just one addition.

We clearly need a CB and a striker. For this winter that would probably do. Poss a CM (again). Do enough to get top half.

Apart from injuries we aren't too bad everywhere else. Just need someone to organise them better.

In the summer we need to add some pace and strength.

Think Delph has already proved he's not worth relying on.

Ideally I'd like us to sign two and get rid of Schneiderlin.

No point signing a permanent centre mid unless we fuck someone off. Will end up with shit loads of midfielders when ,(if) everyone is fit.

I think Gbamins injury meant we couldn't let Schniederlin leave.

This has become a crucial period now.

Whether Brands doesn't like dipping in the January window or not. It's needs must.
All depends on the manager. Do we want to waste another fortune on tosun and Walcott for a manager who will be here 6 months at best. Whole thing is a shitshow. Once and for all they need to clarify who is making the decisions.

The manager ought to have a very limited say.

Brands as the perpetual factor at the club, needs to be buying the players and it needs to come from above that they're playing whatever the manager thinks.

Moysey's already been on the blower to Rodwell. We're gonna be fine
I've actually been wondering why Jack hasn't been invited back "to train", to help him "recover" from whatever it is that crashed his career.
The Goodison family treatment seems to have worked for Baxter. At least, he has a career, still playing.

It's absolutely vital we sign an athletic, mobile central midfielder. Someone who can move with the ball and inject a bit of energy. I'm going to say Doucoure for arguments sake. I don't think we'll get him, but we need someone in that mould.

And I'd stick Gbamin next to Mina at centre-half once he's fit. Obviously I haven't personally seen him play there, but from what I've read he's just as comfortable in that position as he is in midfield. Michael fucking Keane is nowhere near good enough and Holgate's beginning to show his inexperience again. I like Mason, but I don't think this is the time to play him when the chips are down. If we can get something like this out consistently for the second half of the season we should be sound;

Pickford

Sidibe - Gbamin - Mina - Digne

Delph - Doucoure

Iwobi

Richarlison - Kean - Bernard

No chance we play our first choice 11 ( whatever that may be) twice between now and the end of the season.
That you have Delph suggests you haven't seen our luck with injuries. :(
