    Fellaini OFF………………… to the hairdressers

Marouane Fellaini is set to dye his hair silver after fans raised over £25,000 for Everton in the Community.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Blues’ official charity, Fellaini committed to turn his famous ‘fro silver – but only if Evertonians helped him reach the fundraising target by 16 May.

The total currently stands at a fantastic £25,395, a figure made possible thanks to generous contributions from fans and local businesses.

The Belgian international will now put his iconic hair in the hands of award-winning celebrity colourist, Josh Wood, and will reveal his new look at the Club’s End of Season Awards on Thursday.

On hearing that the £25,000 target had been reached, a gleeful Fellaini said: “Thank you to the Everton fans who have help me to raise £25,000 for Everton in the Community. I look forward to dying my hair silver for the charity and showing everybody tomorrow night.”

Every penny raised by the challenge will go to Everton in the Community, which is celebrating its 25th year.

To mark the anniversary the charity is inviting all Evertonians to be part of a wider fundraising campaign to raise £1million.

They are asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of Goodison Park, to raise just £25 each to help them achieve their target, one which will help them continue their life-changing work and reach out to even more vulnerable people across Merseyside.

Fans can still sponsor Fellaini. All you need to do is visit justgiving.com/fellainifro or text FELI50 with the amount you would like to donate to 70070, e.g. FELI50 £5 to 70070.
