Everton u-turn on Andrade loan deal
Everton have decided against loaning young number 10 Tomas Andrade from River Plate, despite Roberto Martinez praising the youngster following his time spent training with the clubs academy.
The Daily Mail says that Everton will now move onto other targets, even though the 19 year old playmaker was only due to train with the academy.
Only last week manager Robert Martinez confirmed: ‘Tomas is a very talented young man. He has raw, natural talent to use in the attacking play. He can play between the lines, he is left-footed, he has a very, very interesting profile.
‘He will need an adaptation period because he is very young still but he will fit in fantastically well in our development squad and we will try and do a deal where we can get him on loan with a clear plan to develop him and see if that will allow him to fulfil his potential.’
Andrade had previously decided against a move to the Barcelona academy due to homesickness.
Everton were also linked with Mori from River Plate, but Distin has no news.
