Everton sign Aaron Lennon on loan

Everton have signed Spurs winger Aaron Lennon on loan according to a number of journalists on twitter.

Rumours have persisted for the past few weeks about a deal for the Yorkshireman and it looks like an agreement has been made for the loan signing.  The deal just needs signing.

Lennon has been out of favour at White Hart Lane with the England international starting just 3 games for the London club.  Lennon made 365 appearances for Spurs.

Kevin Mirallas is unlikely to be part of any deal.  He has 18 months on his current contract with the option for a further 12 months and the club don’t want to sell and the player is happy.

    1. Let me be the first on here to Welcome the lad! I think it’s a good acquisition for the club and I would rather him be with us than against us. It’s going to be a wrench for him moving to sunny Merseyside after a life set in London but I believe this is exactly what he needs, a fresh challenge with fresh critics to answer to. We need a player of his experience and considerable skill. So, so, so glad that the quality is moving to us not away! Hope he’s an instant hit with the fans and I truly hope for everyone involved that we are clambering after him with first refusal for a permanent place next window.
