    Everton defender loan cancelled at the final stages

    Everton had a loan transfer for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori in place but it was cancelled at the final stages following David Luiz soon-to-be departure to Arsenal according to the Evening Standard.

    The 21 year old was wrapped up to join Everton on loan, but following Luiz strike to join Arsenal the potential deal is now off.

    Tomori shone while on loan at Derby County under then manager Frank Lampard and following his move to Chelsea he was keen to send Tomori on loan, but he will now play an important part in the squad.

    Everton have been linked with fellow team mate Kurt Zouma but any potential move for Chelsea players looks difficult with their current transfer ban.
