Even when Anichebe wasn't scoring in the reserves he was still getting his game. What does Velios have to do?

This for me is were moyes lets his own tittle tattle personal "ive been let down in some way fall outs" get in the way of whats best for the team and club, In the bigger scheme of things what could velios of done whats so bad what couldnt be easily sorted out in a couple of minutes, the lad has taken his punishment now being dropped out of the squad since last year , Has got his head down and scored in many of the games he has been involved in of late , let bygones be bygones & do whats best for the club and team and get back in the seniour squad

    Re: Velios

Last game is the only game I thought we needed him.

Other games Jelavic and Anichebe to come on has been fine.

But when we went down to ten, had Jelavic living off scraps and then just no striker at all the ball was just coming back all the time.

We needed him to come on with fresh legs, harass their defence late on, use his half decent pace on the counter and hold the ball up.

Good to see him getting a run out today. Looked quite lively when he came on. Great flick to Hitz by the way.

    Re: Velios

his awareness and positioning were brilliant today, given time i think he can turn into a top centre forward

Yeah still signs he's a good prospect. Still a lot of work to do.

Great showing he's willing to run and chase defenders down too.

Nice to see him get on the pitch, didn't look too bad but still very raw, really could use a loan and a few goals under his belt in the championship.

Changed the game in a way, Fellaini dropped back and dominated the midfield with Velios giving Jelavic more space with some intelligent runs

    Re: Velios

I was pleased with his run out. Changed the shape of the front line and had a few nice touches. Snatched at one decent chance, but he's still shown that he does have potential. Hopefully he'll get a few more runs out.
