Martinez: We need to finish with a win, rather than playing well and dropping points
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that he would swap any record his side haves for keeping a clean sheet and says that despite some decent performances, they need to start picking up points.
The Catalan says that the performance deserved 3 points against Norwich, but Martinez says that his side need to learn to become more ruthless and pick up points.
“I would swap any record just to try to keep a clean sheet,” Martinez said. “As a team we know we’ve got incredible individuals. Probably some of the best young players in European football.
“What we need to do is become a team that can control games and make sure we finish with a win, rather than just performing well and dropping points.
“Overall the performance leaves you with a feeling of disappointment, because that should have been a three-point performance.”

Every year he has been the boss this porous thing rears its head.It was worse at Wigan but worries me rigid that we went backwards at a huge rate of knots after he took the squad on a winter break the first year. That we dropped bucket loads of points against the lower teams last time around and are starting to do it all over again. Maybe he needs an assistant who can play the hard man in the half time break to give the squad that backbone which seems to missing in the second period
