    Everton to face points deduction?

Everton could be set to face a large fine and a points deduction as an independent enquiry looks into their conduct during the chase of manager Marco Silva.

Everton were accused of tapping up the Watford manager by the southerners and they have continued their pursuit for Toffees to get punished.

The times are leading with the prominent story and tweeted out their cover story lastnight

Everton manager Marco Silva and club majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri will have to hand over email and phone records to a QC so they can establish when contact was first made.  Silva joined the club having joined whilst not being employed by a club.

The FA has made attempts to mediate between the 2 clubs to try and resolve the issue amicably, but Watford haven’t opted for this option.

Everton manager Marco Silva had hinted that Watford did the same thing when they signed him from Hull City in the season they were relegated.
