Everton set to swoop for cut-price highly-rated defender

Everton could be set to move for Ado Den Haag defender Wilfried Kanon in a cut price £2m deal according to press reports.

The 24 year old Ivory Coast defender is wanted by a number of clubs this summer and they include Villarreal, Real Betis and Eibar and Everton boss Sam Allardyce has identified the player as the man to shore up his leaky defence.

Kanon has made 71 appearances for the Alfons Groenendijk’s side since joining from Romanian team Corona Brasov in 2013.

Everton are looking for replacements for veteran defenders Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka as they look to rebuild a side struggling for form.

Would Kanon be a good signing for Everton?
