What are Everton getting from Muhamed Bešić

What are Everton getting from Muhamed Bešić

On our Forum at www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum we have seen a large number of Bosnians join since the initial links to Muhamed Bešić, so we asked the question of what kind of player we are getting as many had only seen him at the World Cup.

    Besic
    Besic is a fighter

One of the best replies was this: “ im bosnian and respect your club immensely. this kid will fncking kill everything on the pitch for you. can’t believe he signed for a big club. simply didnt see this coming.”

Another Bosnian poster wrote: “He is very nasty, especially when things are not going his way.

He is well known for the badass look/attitude and being very nasty when things are not going his way. You can call it lack of discipline which also resulted in his exit back then from Hamburg. His former coach Thorsen Fink suspended him after a fight but it has become better since then.”

So what are we getting in Besic?  Well the kid is a fighter, he is a proud Bosnian, despite being born in Germany.  Bosnians are tough.  This kid is tough.

    Proud Bosnian
    Proud Bosnian

He shone in the game against Argentina where he was described as “Messi’s shadow” and although he has played the majority of his Ferencvaros career in defence, he played defensive midfield for his national side in that game and marked the worlds best player out of the game for the most part.

He had a tough time at his first club Hamburg where has was basically strangled by manager Torsten Fink following an altercation – Probably not a wise thing to do to this lad, because although he looks like a young lad, he can take care of himself.  He was promptly suspended by the club and then sold.

Besic loves a tackle and could be seen by Martinez as the perfect person to play in a back 3 or likewise Martinez may look to introduce him into the Everton midfield.  The player he closely resembles is James McCarthy – and that isn’t a bad thing.

£4m looks to be a snip for a player of his potential and despite questions over his discipline, Besic has certainly calmed down off the pitch.

In short we look to be getting a player that Evertonians will love.  A player with the commitment of James McCarthy, the versatility of Tony Hibbert, the passion of Phil Jagielka and the aggression on the pitch of Duncan Ferguson.  We are getting a work horse with skill, a natural born tackler and a proper hard man.

He may look about 12 years old, but this kid will wear his heart on his sleeve.
