    Everton eyeing Wendell move

    Everton are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen left-back Wendell who they see as a long term replacement for Leighton Baines according to SkySports.

    The 24 year old Brazilian made 34 appearances for the German club in the Bundesliga last season and is one of a number of options that Everton are looking at.

    Marvin Plattenhardt is also a possibility but he is currently on duty with Germany at the World Cup so negotiations will be difficult at the present time.

    Everton are in the market for Baines successor as the former England left-back is now 33 and coming to the end of his career.
