Everton eye Bas Dost with or without Lukaku

Everton could be set for a move for Dutch striker Bas Dost as they look to add more firepower to their attack according to the Daily Mail.

The 27 year old Wolfsburg striker has scored 36 goals in 80 appearances for the Bundesliga team and would hit the mark as a Ronald Koeman target man.

Dost stands 6ft 5in tall and could be brought in to work alongside Romelu Lukaku if he is still at Everton for the forthcoming season.

£13.5m striker Oumar Niasse has been told that he has no future at Everton and the only other senior striker on the books is Arouna Kone.

Would Dost be a good signing for Everton?

  1. Why not bring home our boy Rooney. Ok he is in the twilight of his career but has better technique than any of our current strikers including Rom. Let Ross and Geri do the running and supply work and I bet he could grab close to 20 goals a season. Our younger strikers could learn so much from his experience. Could benefit us in both the short and long term.
