McCarthy: The fans will be massive for us against Manchester City
Everton midfielder James McCarthy feels that the Everton supporters have a huge part to play in Sundays game against Manchester City and says aslong as the fans are behind the team it will make things difficult for City.
McCarthy feels that confidence is high after the 0-3 victory over Southampton on Saturday and he is hoping that they can carry on the performance to the weekend.
McCarthy said: “There’s been a good atmosphere around the place, Obviously, it was a big win last weekend and it’s not an easy place to go but we went there [St Mary’s] and played really well.
“It’s always a tough place to come, Goodison Park, and as long as the fans are behind us again this week, it will make things difficult for Man City.
“The fans are always massive for us. They travelled down in their numbers to Southampton and you could hear them from the first to the last minute.
“Everyone worked really hard and hopefully now we can carry that into City. It’s been a good week in training and we’ve worked really hard.
“You saw how Man City played against Chelsea and it’s going to be tough. They have won two games on the bounce but the mood in our camp is very good and we go into the game really confident.”
What do you think the score will be at the weekend?
