Martinez pushes Galloway for England and says Hodgson will be impressed

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has been full of praise for young Zimbabwe born defender Brendan Galloway and says that he is confident that watching England manager Roy Hodgson would be impressed.

Galloway once again impressed for Everton against Southampton but although he (Martinez) doesn’t think Galloway is ready for the full England team yet, he was certaining tipping him as a future England player to go with the other English talent coming through the Everton ranks.

He said: “We have got a lot of English talent coming through. I’m sure Mr Hodgson knows all about Ross Barkley and Tom Cleverley, about Phil Jagielka and John Stones.

“But I think he’ll be very impressed and very surprised with one of the young talents, Brendan Galloway at the age of 19. He’s only played with England at U19 level, but I think he’s one for the future.”

Have you been impressed with Galloway?
