Everton man could leave to further his career

Everton left-back could be set to leave the club on loan to help develop his career with Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Bournemouth likely destinations.

The youngster only recently committed his long term future to the club by signing a 5 year agreement but could move on loan to either club soon according to the Liverpool Echo.

The report states that a number of clubs would be interested in taking Garbutt on a one year loan as he looks to gain Premier League experience with a view of challenging first choice Leighton Baines over the next few seasons.

Garbutt is looking forward to life with Everton and recently said “Under the manager, the future looks bright and positive and I want to be a part of that.”

Who should Garbutt look to move to?

  1. There doesn’t seem to be much point in Garbutt moving to Bournemouth who have just signed Mings for big money and have Charlie Daniels who performed well all last season at left back.

  2. Why move at all. This could be a transition season for him and Leighton. Oviedo who is also in the mix could be competition in midfield rather than at the back. Plus Luke could get games in the centre of defence as cover for Jags or Stones.
