Manchester City in new £50m Barkley link

Manchester City are being linked with a new £50m move for Everton youngster Ross Barkley, this time by the ever reliable Metro.

According to the “report”, the Citizens will make a joint £75m move for Ross Barkley and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere as they aim to dismantle their ageing team and prepare for the next phase of their development.

City are looking towards the youngsters to try and help them fulfil their quota of homegrown players and will offload Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri to help fund the deal and offset money to meet the Financial Fair Play regulations.

Do you think Barkley will be sold by Everton this summer?

  1. Doubt if Ross would be sold, one of El Bob’s golden boys! But personally if City put £50m on the table it would be hard to resist! Would love Firmino at Hoffenheim to replace him, SCORES GOALS! Say 20m for him still 30m to strengthen side!!!!!
